News 10/17/11:

Added "Extras" Category to the main menu. These are programs that are useful to have and have not given us permission to host here at AST. Instead we link directly to their files. These have been available on the custom download page for quite some time, and are now available from the menu. Updated Updated the links to Adobe Flash Player 11 on the custom downloads page. Fixed Updated all the names on the custom page that had not been updated when my database was. Fixed the menu error on the custom page Corrected code from adding and removing several tech tools.

By using what I have learned over time, I was able to rewrite the menu from over 60 querys down to 11 per page load. This should help the slight lag on the page load some. Revamped the code on the category pages to make it easier to load, less upkeep, and work better. I continue to make changes to make it easier to keep things up to date. The less work I have to do to keep them up to date, the more often they get updated. Made corrections to some code in the custom tech tools section. Forums Added To help promote and aid in communication for the Anvilsmith Tech Community, small though it is, we have created the Anvilsmith Tech Forums. The information from AST Tech Guide will be moved over to the forums and eventually the Guide will be phased out completely. At that time the techtools will be moved back to Anvilsmith Tech proper rather than on a subdomain. This process will take place in three stages. Stage 1 Create the Forums - Done! Stage 2 Move the information from Tech Guide to Forums - In progress Stage 3 Move Tech Tools back to anvilsmithtech.com from its subdomain We need help As with all forums, they cannot be successful without the help of the community. We are asking for techs who are knowledgeable to join the forums and share that knowledge. And we are asking those techs who are still learning (all of us) to join the forum and ask questions.

News 7/15/11:
Updates Finished Recreating the ISO file with a new Firefox installer. Both now have the correct file and are available for download. Updated the Email page to include a couple more How To Backups, and also reformatted it to look a little less like a bad 1990's webpage.

News 7/14/11: Hosts File added to Custom Downloads
Added AST Recieved permission to include the MVPS Hosts File as part of our Custom Tech Tools downloads.

News 7/07/11:
Updates Found that the Firefox file included with the current version of Tech Tools was corrupt. Recreated the Tech Tools ZIP with a new and tested file. Temporarily removed the ISO link until I could get a new ISO created with the new file.
